Dan Huh and studentA Leader in Chemical Engineering

The Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering program was founded in 1893 making it one of only 5 of America’s oldest continuously operating degree-granting programs in chemical engineering.

The Ph.D. program in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is primarily a research-oriented degree for students showing exceptional promise for original contributions to the theory and practice of chemical and biomolecular engineering.

The degree is a virtual requirement for those planning to teach chemical and biomolecular engineering, as well as for those planning for a career in research or industry. At CBE, Students are given the opportunity to work in a collaborative culture that includes multiple generations of leaders in academia, government, and industry. Doctoral candidates are expected to show superior capability for independent work and study.
